Description
Welcome to the Family Department.
A department consisting of 8 units, all working for safe and good upbringing conditions for children.
The employment belongs to the Family Department's Reception Unit, located in the Reception Group. The unit has four workgroups: the reception group, social emergency services, field group, and Barnahus. The reception group handles the department’s incoming reports of concern and applications, as well as the associated preliminary assessments regarding children. The unit's work is directed towards families with children aged 0-18 years.
In the reception group, you will be part of a team of 10 social workers, a team with a lot of experience and helpfulness. The team is supported by case supervisors and a unit manager.
Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a temporary social worker as one of our employees will go on parental leave later this spring. The work as a social worker in the Reception Group involves receiving reports of concern, conducting safety assessments, meeting children and families, and processing preliminary assessments. We use Signs Of Safety as a method during our meetings with families. The reception group is consulted by other authorities and organizations regarding concerns for children and young people. We provide advice and support to those who contact us. We also inform preschools, schools, and health care about the authority's mission.
External supervision and further training, such as BBIC & Signs Of Safety, are also included.
Qualifications
To make qualitative, legally secure, and qualified assessments, the following is required:
- Degree in Social Work
- We require several years of experience in child welfare within the reception group
A good ability in both interaction, conversation, and documentation is necessary. Additionally, the ability to structure and prioritize your work, as well as being flexible and resilient to stress, is needed. Personal qualities that complement the group will also be particularly considered.
A driving license for manual transmission is a requirement.
Before we can offer you employment, we require a copy of your criminal record extract from the police.
